Explore our top-tier catalog of solid carbide and high-speed steel machine reamers, optimized for CNC machining, automotive engineering, deep-hole finishing, and aerospace component manufacturing.
In automated, high-throughput metalworking, the micro-geometry and metallurgical composition of hole-finishing tools dictate operational throughput, surface integrity, and overall tool lifecycle cost. As a premier China broach tool factory and cutting tool supplier, our manufacturing standard integrates advanced materials science with Swiss and German 5-axis CNC grinding technology.
Utilizing 0.4µm to 0.6µm ultra-fine tungsten carbide grain sizes blended with 10%-12% Cobalt binder matrices. This structure achieves an exceptional balance between high transverse rupture strength (TRS > 4,000 MPa) and extreme hardness (up to 92.5 HRA).
Our proprietary Bronze TiAlN, AlCrN, and Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) physical vapor deposition coatings lower the coefficient of friction down to 0.25 while enhancing thermal oxidation thresholds up to 1,100°C for dry and high-speed machining.
Engineered variable flute spacing suppresses harmonic vibration and chatter during heavy radial cut engagements. This proprietary spacing produces sub-micron surface roughness (Ra < 0.2µm) and perfect roundness within IT6 tolerance grades.
Optimal operational parameters derived from extensive internal laboratory testing and field performance data across diverse aerospace, automotive, and die-mold applications.

As global manufacturing transitions toward automated Industry 4.0 smart factories, high-speed machining (HSM), and sustainable production, purchasing managers must align with tooling suppliers equipped to address shifting technical benchmarks.
Traditional flood cooling is rapidly being replaced by MQL and dry machining to reduce environmental impact and fluid disposal costs. Modern broaches and reamers require specially engineered chip flutes and thermal barrier coatings (like AlCrN) capable of dissipating thermal stress without fluid immersion.
Automated CNC cells demand complete tool traceability. Future procurement contracts increasingly mandate RFID-chipped or laser-etched Data Matrix tool shanks. This allows tool setters to automatically synchronize tool wear profiles, offset measurements, and cycle times directly with MES systems.
Leading procurement departments are abandoning raw piece-cost metrics in favor of Cost-Per-Hole (CPH) calculations. High-grade carbide tools with re-sharpenable geometry provide 4x to 6x the tool life of commodity HSS tools, dramatically slashing total operational downtime and machine hourly overhead.
Combining decades of metallurgical heritage with state-of-the-art CNC grinding facilities, we offer global OEMs, machine builders, and industrial distributors uncompromised precision, rigorous quality control, and scalable OEM manufacturing capacity.
Answers to common engineering, procurement, and technical application questions regarding machine reamers, broaches, and customized cutting tools.
Solid carbide is optimal for high-volume automated production, hardened materials (>30 HRC), abrasive cast irons, and tight tolerance jobs where tool deflection must be minimized. High-Speed Steel (HSS) or Cobalt HSS (M35/M42) is preferred for setup flexibility, interrupted cuts, less rigid older machinery, deep-hole hand reaming, or small production runs where shock absorption is critical.
As a standard rule of thumb for metal machining: for hole diameters up to 6mm, leave 0.10mm to 0.15mm of stock on diameter. For hole diameters between 6mm and 20mm, leave 0.15mm to 0.25mm. Leaving too little stock causes the reamer to burnish and rub rather than cut, leading to rapid edge wear, while excessive stock overloads the chamfer teeth and compromises surface finish.
Yes. Our engineering team routinely manufactures non-standard diameters, custom step geometries, special pilot lengths, extended shanks, and specific corner radii. We accept STEP, IGES, and DWG files, providing a formal technical drawing review and quotation within 24 hours.
For austenitic and duplex stainless steels (M group), an AlCrN or Bronze TiAlN multi-layer coating provides maximum oxidation protection and anti-galling performance. For non-ferrous materials such as aluminium alloys and copper (N group), an uncoated polished flute or a specialized Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating is recommended to prevent Built-Up Edge (BUE).
Straight flutes are designed for through-holes or materials that generate short, powdery chips (such as cast iron and brass). Spiral flutes (typically 8° to 15° helix) pull chips backwards out of the hole, making them essential for blind-hole reaming in ductile materials like steel and aluminium to prevent chip packing and scoring of the finished hole surface.
Every shipment includes an inspection test report covering dimensional specs, runout compliance, micro-hardness verification, and raw material mill certificates. Full ISO 9001 quality compliance documentation is available upon request prior to dispatch.
